Can I Terminate An Employee?

One of the questions we get all the time is can I terminate an employee? Well yes you can terminate an employee but there is a right way and a wrong way to terminate an employee.

The right way of terminating an employee means that you need to take all elements into consideration and then try to work with the employee to make sure they have a chance to rectify what ever it is they are doing wrong/poorly that is making you want to terminate them

The wrong way to terminate an employee is basically don’t take into consideration any of the rules or what has happened in the past and just sack them. However be warned, that if you go down this path you are asking for a whole heap of pain.

The NES and Awards have all the rights of employees which therefore makes it easy to get the information, so ignorance is no longer a suitable excuse.
